Wellness at Work
Written By: Sherri Oliver
Being of sound mind and a healthy body can prolong life expectancy as well as increase productivity at work. Wellness matters and a good way to embark on a well-rounded wellness journey is through various employer-sponsored wellness programs.
As many of us have witnessed over the last year (and may still be witnessing), life can be a bit much to handle - illnesses, chronic illnesses, elder and/or child care, preparing for a birth, aging, overeating, smoking and money management are just some of life's challenges.
If the company you work for hasn't started offering wellness programs yet, we suggest getting together with colleagues and organizing some activities you all might enjoy. Try walking at lunch, sharing healthy recipes or meeting at the local park after work for yoga, tai chi, stretching, breathing exercises, etc.
Be Well.
